Helping You Manifest the Changes You Want to See in Your Life
If there is anything you should know about me, it is that I am passionate about my work as a psychotherapist. I love working with clients toward the changes they want to make in their lives. I love thinking about how our emotional connections can change simply by considering a slightly different perspective. Therapy is a collaborative process and takes courage. I am humbled by that. It is an honor to share in people’s lives. The most critical ingredient to successful therapy is the relationship you build with your therapist. If you don’t feel comfortable, it will be difficult to share your deepest emotions and vulnerabilities.
Above and beyond the education I’ve received, I have a great deal of life tucked under my belt. I have been through some amazingly difficult times. I know how it feels to be there, how it feels to work through issues—and even better—how it feels to move beyond an issue. I don’t ask my clients to explore something I wouldn’t—because doing so—in my mind--would lack integrity and authenticity. I start with a family systems approach to therapy, believing all relationships are interconnected. Families, relationships, and societal influences all impact who we are and any changes we make come from a deeper understanding of those connections. We then look at what is working for you right now and build on those strengths, developing new skills for you to use as you maneuver through the challenges that life brings.
